Raw Chocolate fever!
Hi there!
I've been away for few days, mostly because I have to focus on my jewelry business (to be). Sorry about that.
Since few days, I have many cravings for sweet stuffs so I've created this "milkshake" (without the milk).
Here we go:
Decadent Chocolate Organza
- 2 tablespoons of raw chocolate powder;
- 2 pears;
- 4 tablespoons of hemp seeds;
- 2 cups of purified water;
- Raw honey (or agave nectar If you prefer);
- You can add coconut oil for flavor (and immune system boost).
First, mix the water, the raw chocolate powder and hemp seeds. Blend it for 30-45 seconds. Strain the milk and blend it again with coconut oil, honey and pears.
Taste it with closed eyes! Yummy. Why not switching pears for bananas? I did that twice this week. Delicious!
Take care sexy!

Just a thought (and poetry)
I just want to share with you a text I wrote while I was in a low peak.
The collector
-------------
Life's schedule is set to end
but your spine you won't bend
for things superficial
you're a shopper on fire
Like a hole never filled
you're never satisfied
Do you, do you really care,
you said this life is nightmare
but you only want your share
will you dare, will you dare
to give up those labels
Life is a gift
for those who knows
to value things
that you can't price
Life is a gift
For those who are
much more than have
and dare to have pride
Is it worth the price
To feel your life meaningless
For things that are materialized
It is like a hole never filled
You will never be satisfied
Your soul will always remain empty
It`s not too late to claim your sanity
and see the beauty around and within
but you have to stop HAVING and start BEING.
It is not about the name your parents gave you
nor the status the society labeled you;
why do you care about the color of your hair or your eyes,
the size of this or that or the weight on your scale,
when the value is YOU;
because your beauty is about your experiences, your attitude toward life and peoples.
You have to see the value
in things that doesn't have a price;
You have to close your eyes and then you will see
that there`s no boundaries and no such labeling.
Then you will start your awakening.
Why are you asking for things
when you should be the giver
because giving is receiving...

Italian bread recipe - raw food
Hi everybody!
Today I'm trying to make a "bread" to make me feel more normal (in a way) for busy days when I don't have time to be in the kitchen for more than 15 minutes. I just then need to let it "cook" for 4 to 6 hours. For those who don't have a dehydrator (such as me), just leave the temperature of the oven to the minimum and let the door a bit opened.
* 1 cup ground flax seeds
* 1/3 c whole flax seeds (that I've soaked them over night - you'll find them in the morning looking like gel)
* 1/2 t sea salt
* 1 clove garlic
* 2 Tablespoons onion, chopped
* 1/2 c of dehydrated tomatoes soaked in 1 1/3 c of spring water that you will also add.
* 1/4 c hemp seeds
* Italian spices to your taste (basil, coriander or oregano).
Directions:
Mix ground and whole flax, salt, garlic, onion and the water from soaked dehydrated tomatoes. Then, add the dehydrated tomatoes and hemp seeds and mix well. You can mix with only a spoon and it will be fine. No food processor needed.
Put in the dehydrator for 4 to 6 hours, depending how crispy you like the bread.
It's a variant of an old recipe I am trying today. I am expecting to eat sandwich tonight! :) I cannot eat regular bread (because of gluten - with fibromyalgia, I find out it gives me muscles pain).
Store in the fridge.

Raw food temptations
------------------
Quote of the day:
"Be good to your body so your soul want to stay." - Indian Proverb
------------------
Now I know: I am definitely craving for raw food! That's it! My decision for good. I'll juice twice a day along raw food temptations. I can't help it. :)
I have a big transitional period to face since I will still have detox symptoms (just less worst than doing a juice feasting). I also want to get rid of my caffeine addiction.
So let's talk about raw food. What is really raw food?
I would rather talk about "living foods" which makes more sense since we do dehydrate the food to make it a bit warm. According to Living and Raw food community, living foods are foods that contain enzymes. Enzymes begin to be destroyed at 102° F and are completely destroyed by 126° F. All cooked food is devoid of enzymes, furthermore cooking food changes the molecular structure of the food and renders it toxic. Living and raw foods also have enormously higher nutrient values than the foods that have been cooked.
What are enzymes?
On a basic definition in the dictionary, enzymes are any of the various complex organic substances, as pepsin originating from living cells and capable of producing certain chemical changes in organic substances by catalytic action, as in digestion.
Why enzymes are so important?
Enzymes are important to assist you in the digestion and absorption process. If you eat food that have less enzymes, you will not get maximum utilization of the food and it seems that reason why our body get so much toxicity, which can explain the problem of obesity.
When you know that before the invention of fire, we use to eat this way, it all makes senses. Some peoples will argue that modern way of eating makes us living longer, I will answer that it's not necessary true. Without fibromyalgia, I wouldn't say anything but now, I can honestly say that quality of life is by far more important than anything else. Moreover, if our modern society is technologically more advanced, why are we so much sick? Quality of foods is very important for a healthy body (and mind!).
Why would you want to eat this way?
- For the energy to nag your friends (or to do anything else);
- Better health (didn't get a cold since 3 years just by eating 50% raw food)
- Weight loss (let's say your body reach the weight it should be naturally;
- Detoxification (from toxins in your body that comes from food and environment);
- A stronger immune system that better resists and recovers from just about any kind of disease.
The list can grow more and more. Eating mostly raw and living food is also good for energy efficiency; since you no longer have to cook, you don't waste electricity, and save the environment. No animal products are used, nature appreciates that. ;)
Also, eating organic helps to save the planet (and it's proved you get more nutrients with organic foods).
Tell yourself what you can do for your body today!
Have a good day sexy!

The taste of juice
Today is just the second day and I already have this nausea. I don't know why, the juice is not appealing at all. What are your suggestions ?
I wonder how I would do 40 days with this kind of feeling in the morning.
Maybe it's just that I don't like the mix of celery and apples at this time of the day.
Yesterday was difficult with food around. I realize this experience would be easier if I was all alone, in a cave with my juicer (and my laptop). It,s not that I am craving for food (such as SAD diet or anything cooked) but I do wish to eat and not drink or If I would drink anything, it would be anything sweet with raspberries, strawberries, orange, pineapples or even watermelon. Mmmm. But vegetables? Yuk. I'd rather eat it than drink it. What is the solutions?
In 2008, I was having a smoothie in the morning packed with fruits, green stuff (spinach, kale or romaine salad), aloe vera, coconut oil, spirulina and bee pollen and in the day, I was having fruits in a large quantity (sometimes I could eat up to 6 bananas) for lunch and sometimes some sprouted lentils or beans in salads and in the night time, it was a big salads with sprouts and few pieces of vegetables. At that time, the only thing I was eating that was not raw was steamed broccoli. Awesome! I lost 40 pounds within 3 months, and instead of sleeping 12 to 15 hours (because of fibromyalgia), I was sleeping 6 hours and has tons of energy!
Here's the before and after of 2008:
Awesome, no?
I miss this period, where my energy was really phenomenal. Can't wait to go back to that! I miss exercising and just walking is not enough for me.
If you have any ideas for me, keep me posted. Do you have any subjects you would like me to talk about?
Take care, sexy!

Salt water flush (or colon cleansing)
Hi folks and sorry about this long period without posting. I've been having some personal issues and had to go away from the computer.
Sorry about that.
I am starting (once again, I know) the juice feast and I hope this time I'll get more organized if anything happen.
To answer to Rawfooddreal people, Salt water flush is a natural colon cleansing solution. The equivalent is a colon hydrotherapy, or even an enema. It is is as much as efficient than any of the other solutions.
Try this:
- One quart of distilled water or coming from a source;
- one to 2 tablespoons of sea salt non iodized (very important).
Don't plan an appointment after 30 minutes doing this. Your body should react within the first hour and it is not unusual to have 4 to 6 bowels movements the first days you try this. I do the salt water flush because I don't like enema. My advise is to start doing this when you know you have 2 or 3 days off in a row. Plan ahead! :)
Today, I want to talk about motivation. I find out it's very easy to slip out the concept of juice feasting. Summer is coming and I can hear you complaining about the problem of juicing when you plan to do many activities weeks ahead.
First of all, how would you convince peoples that juice feasting is good for you if you are not convinced yourself why you do this? Establish a list of reasons why you do it. Do you cleanse to lose weight? To gain clarity? Energy? To recover from illness? To cleanse years of
toxins?
Also, if you lose motivation because of time, think about it for a second: if you plan vacations months ahead, it's should be easy to find solutions to plan your juice feasting program to be a success.
Juice your fruits and vegetables in the morning, before leaving the house. Juicing one gallon should take one to one hour and a half. You'll find out that you'll have more time since you don't have to cook meals (well, I am single. lol I understand if you have a family to take care of but since you gain time for eating yourself, at least, on lunch time, you can do more).
Also, you'll get more energy after few weeks on juice feasting (once the detox symptoms are less extreme).
Is money an issue for motivation to juice feasting? Don't expect to buy all organic food. Focus on organic vegetables and get non organic fruits than are not so expensive such as orange, grapefruits, pineapple, mango, watermelon (unless it's organic, try not to juice the green part, even though it's a good part to juice). Look for bulk buy if you can or like me, find a place that reduce the price of the fruits when they reach their maturity. Instead of losing the food, the supermarket lower the price to sell them fast. Of course, when you want to juice a variety of fruits and vegetables, the budget can easily go to 100$ per week for only one person when you live in a place where fruits are not in season (such as Quebec, lol which is not a place to grow citrus fruits). My budget is around CAN 70$ per week but I think it's worth the money when I considered I have fibromyalgia and juice feasting is a solution for me to release toxins.
So what is your motivation to juice feast?
Good night, sexy!

A brand new attitude (after salt water flush)
Hi guys!
Here I am today starting the juice feasting once again.
This time, I will trust myself more and will overcome attitude surround me (and detox symptoms!).
This morning, I got the salt water flush and after 2 hours, I got celery and pears juice. Awesome! Not too sweet and a very good taste!
I got 4 cups for 2,30$.
I'll have four days of juice feasting here and I'll bring lemon and a manual presser with me to do 3 days of Master Cleanse in my family. Hard to believe I'll drink lemonade for Easter. loll
I just hope I won't get any trouble (meaning bad attitude) in my family, regarding this juice fasting. I'll pretend I am on day 21 and I don't wanna break the fast. loll (I am not a good liar anyway).
I feel a bit tired. I have fibromyalgia symptoms since 3 days and obviously PMS is giving me trouble.
I didn't told you guys; I went to test my vision and the optometrist told me my vision improved by 0,25 so instead of having -4,25, I have -4,00. Awesome! I wouldn't believe it myself!
How much do you think my vision can improve if I do a juice feast for 60 days? Wow! I wish my vision come back to normal (20/20). I don't think it's possible anyway. For now, I've been told my eyes look like they have 30 years (instead of 35) which is good. Can we do that with my mood and my overall health? :)
Take care sexy!
